What a great Weekend...

This past weekend my girlfriends and I attended the Nada Farm Event. We had such a great time. I was fully impressed at all the great talent the sellers had. There were many one-of-a-kind hand made items and unique vintage finds. The first night was the Boho Ball. My daughter, Sophia and my sister, Mckenna were so excited to dress up for the event.

 {here is a picture of the girls in the bloggers tent, aren't they cute...}

Right when I walked into the barn, I found Jeanine from Chippy Shabby. We were only 15 minutes late to the grand opening and she already had tons of sold tags on her great chippy items.

The barn was transformed in to a beautiful shopping space. The vendors did a wonderful job displaying and took full advantage of the barns height.

The Hot House Market was outside with  two other tents. I found a great blue vintage fan from this space.

{the girls having a great time and running free}

The prairie was just so charming... I had the perfect view of all the surrounding farms.

Here is a picture of Sharon and I, with all of our purchases. By the end of the weekend we had  pack in two cars worth of purchases. I would call the weekend a huge success!

Best Vintage Sale Around

This weekend I attended the Chippy Shabby Monthly Roadside Sale. This is hands down, the best vintage shopping around. I actually follow Jeanine, owner of Chippy Shabby, around to a bunch of her shows.
She suggested the trip to Nada Farm coming up this next weekend.

{What a great way to greet the customers}

When I walked into Jeanine's garage, I didn't know where to start. So much white and chippy happiness to choose from. I first noticed the awesome chandeliers, I have a thing for bling. This display is to die for...

{I purchased the vintage candle holder with flower accents, located on this table}

I love the "garden feel" that Jeanine tends to bring to her display. The flowers bring such a pretty touch to a rusty industrial peice. I also have a thing for vintage clocks, it looks prefect on the table below.

I ended up buying a few great items, seen below. I am so excited to see what Jeanine will bring to the Nada Farm, on May 21st. I have a feeling it will be a great and memorable weekend.

Here are some pictures of Jeanine's personal treasures. I was fully impressed with the huge collection of watering cans. I wonder if she will ever be able to part with them. A girl can dream... can't she?

Cute Find...

Yesterday I got a call from my friend, Sharon. She said that someone had called her about a vintage rummage sale and there might be some items I'd like.
Knowing that Sharon has a great sense of style, I went with her to check it out. We both ended up buying a bunch of vintage and industial finds. We got so much, it was hard to fit us back into the car. {This makes me a little nervous for our road trip next weekend to the Nada Farm.}
Here's a great picture of my daughter and her "new" desk. I snatched this for $20. She loves the desk already and spent the afternoon coloring pictures.
This is a great picture of my sister, Mckenna, my daughter, Sophia and their godmother/my soul sister, Sharon. We love you Auntie Sharon!!

I will be blogging about my favorite vintage dealer, Chippy Shabby, and her monthly Roadside Sale tomorrow.

OBM Girl

I am a co-owner of a great business, One Blue Moon Charms. My mom, Linda Chay, and I own the business together. We both have the same creative and hard-working mind. I love this business because of the time and fun I get to have with her.
My mom started this business about 4 years ago and I quickly jumped on. We started as a very small business, but 2009 we decided to do a product pitch with Country Living Magizine.
We were so excited when we heard our charms would be featured in the 2009 November issue.

Since we were in Country Living Magizine we have been on "super speed". My mom and I have been joking for the last 2 years that, "we will have a break soon..." , but it never seems to come... thankfully.

We are currently in around 200 Boutiques nationwide and have added 3 employees. We are so grateful to our customers and could not have been so successful without them.

I could not be anymore lucky to be apart of this very successful business and still have time to be an "at-home" mommy. I am excited to see where else this journey will take me.

{thank you Jill for the photos}
